"Teaching comes as naturally to me as painting. For me, painting and teaching are two sides of the same coin. They are equally creative. They are both ways I ask questions and explore the world. Each challenges me to remove the blinders of my habitual expectations.
I believe that each person is born to be creative, and each of us makes images in our own way when we are true to ourselves. My job is to support and encourage your creativity by asking you about your many ideas, techniques and possible directions and to help you find which are really authentic to you. My job is to help you decide what you really want from all the possibilities you bring to ISS. My job is to help you realize that there is no right way to paint, to create. My job is to help you invent yourself as a painter."
